I grew up on a solar-powered cattle ranch in Colorado and first discovered the larger world through movies. After graduating from the Johns Hopkins University, I moved to Los Angeles to make movies of my own.
In 2015, my original screenplay THE WATER MAN sold to Disney, with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Films producing and David Oyelowo attached to star. The script also made the 2016 Blacklist, an annual survey of Hollywood executives' favorite unproduced screenplays. I currently have feature film projects with Netflix, MGM/Orion, and ShivHans, and am writing on a television show for Amblin and Apple. I am a champion of original stories in a time when reboots and IP driven content have become the norms in Hollywood. |
